ANGLICAN COMMUNION DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY.
The Topic of Daily Fountain Devotional for 6th December 2024 Is “The Lord Is The Judge Of All”
Read: Daniel 7: 9-14(NKJV)
9 “I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;
10 A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.
11 “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.
12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13 “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.
14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.
ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 6TH DECEMBER 2024.
In the busy nature of the world today, people tend to forget that a day of judgment will arrive when everyone shall appear before the throne of God. Daniel was given this apocalyptic vision as also mentioned in Revelation 20: 11-12, to show that God has set a day for judgment and establishment of His Kingdom. Verse 9 makes it clear that God is the Judge who sits on the Throne as the Ancient of Days. Verse 10 alludes to both the living and the dead standing before the Throne of judgment to receive the reward of their deeds on earth. On that dreadful day, every hidden and secret actions shall be revealed. Satan also will be destroyed and cast in the lake of fire (v.11). Verses 13 and 14 speak of the establishment of the everlasting Kingdom of God and fulfilment of the hope of Christians to reign eternally with the Lord Jesus Christ. What a day it would be!
As God’s people, we are living here as pilgrims in a foreign land. We face intense pressures each day and challenges to our faith from an ungodly world. We see the world situation going from bad to worse. However, the Lord is still with us. He is working out his grand purpose and plan for us and the whole world.
PRAYER: Father please help me to make my way right before You, so I can escape the wrath of Your judgment in the mighty name of Jesus.
