TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 17TH NOVEMBER 2024
A tiger will produce a tiger, and a lion will produce a lion. In the same way, when you are born again, you are born of God, and you become the child of the Most High. That is why Jesus said in John 3:3, “…except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Why do you need to be born again? The first birth you had from your parents carries with it problems. But because the loving Father does not want you to partake of the curse that was released because of the fall of Adam, He now said you must be born again so that you will not partake of those things.
Sin came with sickness and disease; sin came with weakness of the body. It is sin that brought poverty, hardship, death, and all the negatives. I am sure you may have heard doctors in the hospital ask questions to know if a particular disease runs in your family. That will assist them to know the history of your family. Also, you may have heard people say things like, in that family, they don’t get married on time. And even when they get married, to have a baby is a challenge. It runs in the family!
In the same way, when you became born again, you joined a new family and victory runs in your new family. In this new family, you can never be defeated. In this new family, you are standing on the platform of favour. What happens to you in this new family is superior to what goes on in your natural family. Your present situation cannot determine your future outcome. Your ugly past has nothing to do with what God has for you. If you had an ugly past, that should not intimidate you. In this new family, God is for you! And if God be for you, no one can be against you.
