MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 18TH DECEMBER 2024
A sister lived a very reckless life when she was in school. She committed so many abortions that eventually her womb damaged beyond repairs and had to be removed. Eventually she gave her life to Christ and gave her all to serving her God, assuming that marriage and children were out of the question.
When a brother approached her in marriage, she did not hesitate to confess that she had no womb. The brother insisted and eventually got married. Miraculously, she had not one, but four pregnancies. The Creator had given her another womb from His spare parts store!
If you have given up hope of a new beginning because of yesterday’s errors, our God is merciful and full of surprises.
Look at the women listed in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 1:3-6. Four out of the only five women listed had bad foundations: Rahab was a prostitute in Jericho until she bowed to Jehovah and helped the spies sent by Joshua to capture the city of Jericho. She eventually married Salman, one of the spies. Ruth was a Moabitess, whose ancestor, Moab was a product of incest, and God had banned Moabites from His congregation. She married Boaz and was David’s grandmother. Thamar was the woman who had a child, Phares, for her own father-in-law Judah. Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother, was the wife of Uriah, whom David murdered after they committed adultery.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, and all things are new. Jesus allowed them to crucify Him with His arms wide open just to show that there are no limits to His love for you and He is ready to embrace as many as come to Him. Beloved, look up, never look back, the sky is your limit with Christ.

MORNING
1. My Father and my God, hold me tight to You. I have decided to follow you; there shall be no turning back, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, let Your mercy triumph over judgement in my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. I stand on the platform of grace and declare that I am justified by faith through Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. O God of new beginnings, in Your mercy, give me a new beginning in Christ, as You did for Rahab, Thamar, Ruth and Bathsheba, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, forgive all the sins and atrocities of my ancest0rs, in the name of Jesus.
6. Blood of Jesus to destroy the consequences of the sins of my ancestors in my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord Jesus, let Your presence and Lordship in my life make glorious and undeniable difference for me, in the name of Jesus.
