2024 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.
Did you ever try to drive a car or truck without turning the ignition on? If you did, you would have found out that vehicle wasn’t going anywhere unless the engine was started first. The same thing applies when it comes to your words and prayers: before you make public declarations of God’s Word, you’ve got to have a private time of prayer first! Prayer is like the key that turns on the ignition and starts the car engine.
Many Christians speak forth words ever before spending quality time in prayer, and then they wonder why their declarations aren’t effective. Here’s the deal: change comes through your words after you’ve stirred up power in prayer. When you’ve made power available, then you can make proclamations of faith, and the change you desire will be established.
Take Elijah’s story in 1 Kings 17-18 for example. He prayed earnestly, and a drought hit the land for three-and-a-half years—not a drop of rain! (James 5:17). When it was time for the rain to return, Elijah prayed again. But it wasn’t just a quick “God, bring the rain” kind of prayer. He prayed hard and long for several hours, maybe even days.
He sent out his servant six times to see if there was a sign as he continued in prayer, expecting an answer. The servant came back the seventh time and said, “I see a small cloud, very small, like the size of a man’s hand, rising out of the sea.” That was all Elijah needed; he knew he had prevailed! He told his servant, “…Quickly then, on your way. Tell Ahab, ‘Saddle up and get down from the mountain before the rain stops you’” (1 Kings 18:44 MSG).
Can you see the pattern? Elijah prayed first, made power available, and then gave the word. That’s the key! After you’ve had your intense prayer session, then you can speak forth “rhema” (God’s Word), and you’ll be able to change things in your life, your family, your city, and even the world, glory to God!

Dear Father, I pray for the nations of the world today that your will and purpose be established everywhere. May the hearts of leaders and those in authority be yielded to do and follow what’s right.
