2024 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

“Come on, Jocelyn, the world isn’t over. Stop crying,” Alice encouraged Jocelyn, her classmate. “How can I when I know my account was hacked last night?
I should have never clicked on that web link in my email.” “Yeah, Jo, you fell for the deception, but relax; we will fix the hack and get your account back to you,” Scott replied to assuage Jocelyn’s fears.

The Lord Jesus warned us to be wary of deception. In Matthew 24:4 AMPC, He cautions, “…Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].” In the letters of the New Testament, the Apostle Paul repeatedly warned of the dangers of deception. Notice what he said in the opening verse of scripture: “Do not be so deceived and misled…” because it’s easy to fall into deception.

Satan’s primary strategy for derailing Eve was deception. In 2 Corinthians 11:3 GNB, Paul captures it; it says, “I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ—in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake’s clever lies.” Therefore, by understanding how Satan deceived Eve, you can gain insight into how to stay ahead of him and prevent yourself and others from being deceived.

Remember that Paul was speaking to God’s people when he said, “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God…” (1 Corinthians 15:34). The knowledge of God keeps your heart in the right place. So, get your mind on the right subject and your heart in the right direction!

The cure for deception, therefore, is the knowledge of the truth: the accurate knowledge of the Word; this will both deliver and protect you from deception. Always keep in mind what the Bereans did in Acts 17:11: “…The people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and gladly listened to the message. They searched the Scriptures day by day to check up on Paul and Silas’ statements to see if they were really so.”

Amen.
