Happiness depends on happenings and feelings. Happenings around you and in your surroundings will dictate happiness. Happiness is controlled by happenings and subject to change based on change of circumstances and environment. Whatever is happening to your mother or father affects you, whatever happens to your school affects you, and whatever happens to your neighbours affects you. This then becomes the driving force. That is happiness. But joy, on the other hand, is a choice. You choose to be joyful in the face of circumstances and situations.
Joy is from within, not dictated by emotions or feelings. It is your inner peace in the face of adversity; this is a condition of the heart. When you receive an eviction notice, negative medical report, or a marital challenge, begin to see the problem differently. Note, your time of promotion has come when you face diverse situations, be joyous. Let not your challenges take your focus from God. His divine intervention will make the problems disappear before you in Jesus’ name!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Today I choose to live a life full of joy. I shall triumph in my undertakings, and failure shall be far removed from me. In this year of Heaven on Earth, wherever I go, I shall be a personification of joy unspeakable in the name of Jesus.
