Scripture: But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. Psalms 35:13

PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE’S SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR 12TH JUNE 2022.
Now, one benefit of fasting is that fasting subdues the flesh and brings man’s will into submission to the Will of God if a person has an unbendable iron will, a consecrational fast can break that will. If there is something in a person that is resistant to the Will of God, a Scriptural fast or a revelation-oriented fast can bring him to his knees before God.
When man is on his knees, God will be on His feet to work. This is because fasting humbles the soul, thereby bringing man’s will into submission to the Will of God. And when the will of man is out of the way, the will of God will be enforced.
Remember this: Fasting subdues the flesh and brings man’s will into submission to the Will of God.
ASSIGNMENT:
1. Refuse to allow excessive feasting and a lifestyle of wanton pleasure swallow your destiny.
2. Engage in periodic fasting to know and obey the will of God for your life.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to engage in periodic fasting. Help me to subdue my flesh and bring my will in subjection to Your Will Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
